My Friends and Neighbors,

After 35 years of dedicated public service as a San Antonio Firefighter and District Chief, I have decided to run for the San Antonio City Council in District 1. I’m a father, grandfather, business owner, neighborhood leader, and lifelong resident of District 1, and I share your concerns and expectations for the future of our city. As your full time Councilman, my goal will be to work hard and earn the trust of my fellow residents and business communities.

My extensive civic involvement has centered on the desire to continually improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods and city at-large, so our families and businesses can flourish. The leadership ability I’ve developed through my life experiences provides a solid base to build on the successes in District 1. The strong work ethic instilled in me by my parents and my effective communication skills help bring people together to achieve common goals.

Through my participation in the SA2020 process and in meetings with involved neighbors, I believe our focus must be on schools, housing, small businesses, job creation, public safety, transportation, green inner city revitalization, and developing an inclusive and family friendly District 1. Additionally, I plan to enhance community resources by improving parks, streets, and drainage. Responsible spending and investing in our city is a key element for the future of San Antonio, and my job will be to keep the city financially healthy while helping to create vibrant and sustainable neighborhoods.

I am excited at the possibility of serving my neighbors in this great district and the people of our beloved city. I hope you’ll consider investing in a trusted, experienced, common sense leader, who cares deeply about this city and our neighborhoods.
